This is a time-specific quest that runs November 23th, 2014 until December 7th, 2014.
The Sims Freeplay is participating by giving us a quest where we plant beautiful red flowers all over Sim Town. A new currency is introduced called (POINTS)RED Certain items have been changed to charge (POINTS)RED, instead of Lifestyle Points. These can be used to upgrade red flowers, speed up growing red flowers, and buying things.
(POINTS)RED cost approximately 50% of what regular Lifestyle Points cost, and it goes to a great cause. 100% of proceeds will go to (PRODUCT)RED to fight AIDS.
It seems that this will be a community effort, and everyone is working towards unlocking special goodies by buying and spending POINTS(RED). However, the unlocked items costs POINTS(RED) to purchase after they are unlocked.
A lot of the quest revolves around planting beautiful red flowers around Sim Town. These spawn primarily in the park, but can also be found on residential lots. They can be upgraded for (POINTS)RED to be "Premium flowers", which have 3 blossoms instead of just one.
The steps to the quest are:
- Call a Sim to the park
- Clean litter in the park (3x 3 minutes)
- Grow a seedling (1 minute)
- Discuss flowers with a Sim (1 minutes 30 seconds)
- Watch current affairs on TV (14 minutes)
- Tap the (Plumbob) Red Button
- Discuss flowers with a Sim (4 minutes)
- Grow a seedling (20 minutes)
- Take a break on a Park Bench (1 hour 21 minutes)
- Inspect the ... Thing (30 seconds)
- Step inside the Time Machine (10 seconds)
- Discuss the Future with Osiris (3 Hours, 30 minutes)
- Grow a seedling (3 Hours 30 minutes)
- Visit the Online Store
- Come back in (time varies) ~
