If you calculate, 5 LP equals a dollar. If you constantly buy LP (like I did when I first began playing) you will notice your real life funds going down as your Freeplay Sims' funds go up.
Want to get married? Well, the good rings cost LP.
Want to have a kid? 3 LP and it's yours.
Want to age up your Sim (before Life dreams and Legacies)? 5 LP, please.
You want cool looking decor?
You wanna speed up your building?
Look, a really cute dollhouse!
Say buh bye to your LP, then.
Right when you think you can live without LP, you may see your friend's Sim Town booming with LP items, special homes, etc. and then you want more LP.
But there are ways to save your precious real life funds. My favourite is diving.
Diving is a hobby that can earn you LP by completing the collection, granted that you have the patience for it.
Pros of Diving:
-Preteens, Teens, and Adults can all participate in this hobby
-You can unlock diving boards for your Sims' homes
-At the pool, up to four Sims can dive at once.
-The shortest action is 10 minutes.
-For the Sporty Orbs, one of the life dreams is to dive as much as possible.
-You also gain quite a bit of XP, and some simoleons in the process.
Cons of Diving:
-You must finish the all going swimmingly quest in order to unlock the pool.
-You must finish the collection once before you earn LP.
-You earn 3LP at one time
-It can be very time consuming, especially when you have that one last medal that doesn't want to be collected
-The diving boards unlocked by the hobby cost LP to buy
Using this method, I've slowly earned enough LP for my Sims to have a few luxuries that they otherwise would not have. Try it yourself :)
*iPhone/iPad Simmers who require neighbours can add me (MissyMeowRawr) on Game Center :)
Happy Simming
-Y
